Distribution of 140 food baskets for displaced and affected people in Taiz governorate

 

In partnership with the Hattin Development Charitable Foundation, today, December 17, 2016, and in the yard of al-Wahda School in Taiz,  Experts for Development Organization distributed food as part of the emergency relief project in its second phase, where a number (140) food baskets were distributed to 140 families of displaced families and affected families in the districts of Taiz governorate.

The emergency relief project comes as an emergency and urgent intervention to help affected families suffering from difficult living conditions, especially in these conditions in the governorate from the intensification of fighting in most of its districts as well as the displaced who were forced to flee their districts as the war expansion in their districts and villages, leaving their homes, property and work and ran for the lives of their families and children.

Yasser Sinan, Executive Director of Experts, said: “This project aims to provide relief to 140 displaced and most needy and income-poor families in an effort to alleviate their suffering and provide them with daily sustenance after their work has been interrupted during the past period .Sinan appealed to all international and local organizations working in the Republic of Yemen to intervene quickly and urgently to rescue displaced and afflicted people in Taiz governorate, which suffers from the urgent need for humanitarian assistance for displaced persons escaped from their areas, and most of the people of these areas have resorted to the city’s districts, especially after the recent expansion of the war”

It should be noted that the emergency relief project in the second phase at the expense of a donor from the State of Kuwait.
