With generous funding from The Pure Hands organization and in coordination with the Office of Planning and International Cooperation in Taiz district, and as part of the Ramadan projects, the Organization of Experts for Development implemented the Ramadan food basket project for the poorest families in Silo district with a number of (150) food baskets targeting (150) families of the most needy segments of women, widows, families of orphans, displaced people and other affected people ,one basket was distributed for each.

The project was implemented during the period (May 8-May 12, 2021) and targeted the villages (Matahen- Al-Hija – Al-Nkhelah- Qubiba) where people suffer from the inability to provide food needs due to poverty, difficult economic conditions, high food prices and lack of a working opportunities’ .

The project has contributed to enhancing and improving the level of food security for beneficiary families and strengthening their resilience to emergency situations in Ramadan and to ensuring decent and safe living conditions that preserve their dignity and meet their necessary needs through the provision of basic food.
