EDO continue to implement the project to reduce malnutrition in children with the aim of treating and preventing a severe malnutrition among children under the age of five.

During September and August 2021, the organization targeted 100 cases of malnutrition in Dhubab district ,Taiz governorate and another 100 cases of AL – Khawkha district  in Hodeidah governorate, at a total cost of 8,265,000 Rials,Each case receives a bag of healthy food (ready-made therapeutic and supplementary foods, wheat mixture and soy), according to the field committees in coordination with the offices of the Ministry of Health in both districts.

Since its inception, EDO has been implementing a number of humanitarian projects in the fields of health and social, in partnership with local and regional organizations and philanthropists.

According to statistics from United Nations organizations, 2.3 million children under the age of five, two out of five children in this age group in Yemen are at risk of severe malnutrition.
